Meet Your Orthodontist
Dr. Tyson Creech, DDS, MSD
Dr. Tyson Creech was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina. He is overjoyed to return to his home state to begin practicing at Smith & Heymann Orthodontics.
Education & Experience
Dr. Creech attended UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad, where he met his now-wife Harper Rae. He earned a double major in Biology and Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Sport Administration, and he also served as a manager for the men's basketball team under Coach Roy Williams.
He completed dental school at UNC and then briefly practiced general dentistry in the Triangle before relocating to Houston for his orthodontic residency at UT Houston.
During his time in dental school and residency, he and his wife welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world, Mabel and Lottie.
Outside of the Office
Outside of work and dad duties, Dr. Creech enjoys running, playing golf, reading, and spending time on the North Carolina coast.
His favorite coffee order is a flat white, and his favorite film director is Christopher Nolan. He also enjoys playing guitar (he has a minor in music), doing crossword puzzles, and most of all, cheering on the Tar Heels!
